School almost over

I can't wait to get out of school. We only have 3 more days of school until Christmas break and it going to be awesome. Christmas is my favorite HOLIDAY Because it is the time of giving and the more you give the more I get.  So i hope you guy guys will have a amazing Christmas and a Happy New Year

Hi peoples it is setter45 here
        So I did what I said in my last blog and I made more poems. If you have not seen my last blog go check it out.             PEACEFUL 

Peaceful is turquoise like the ocean.

It tastes like the cookies that just came out of the oven.

It smells like a autumn breeze.

Trip to Florida

When I was in fifth grade, my family and I took a one week trip to Florida! To get there we had to take a plane to Houston, Texas. Then, we had to take a plane from Houston to Orlando, Florida. The plane ride to Houston was okay, but the plane was really small. But the plane that my family and I took to Orlando was the complete opposite! My brothers were very excited because there were TVs on the backs of the seats!

My family and I were staying with my mom's friend from high school, Stephanie, so she was the person who picked us up from the airport. Our first day in Florida was just based around getting unpacked and settled in. But after that, we all went swimming in Stephanie's pool.

Our second day was way better than the first. For breakfast we all went to a place called "The Donut King" where the donuts are huge! Then we all took about an hour and a half car ride to the beach! Both of my brothers ended up getting sick because of their donuts but in the end, everyone had a great time.

The next few days were somewhat the same. We just stayed at home and relaxed. But my mom said that she had a surprise for us if we were good.On our fourth or fifth day in Florida, my mom announced that we were going to go to Disney World! We were all really excited. So we gathered our stuff and drove to Disney World.

The entire day was a blast! We went on a ton of rides. One of my favorites was called "The Yeti". We even went to all four parks! We didn't get to go on "The Tower of Terror" but my mom made up for it by taking us to Epcot at the end of the day to see the fireworks show!

We ended our week by going to the beach one last time. We were all very sad that we had to leave. Our plane rides home were both very quiet. I could tell that we were all very tired. The first plane was to Atlanta, Georgia, and the second plane was to Wichita, Kansas. I can't wait to go to Florida again someday!

I Almost Died...

When I was in kindergarten, I almost died. This time, it was real; not a dream.

It happened on a Wednesday and the only reason I remember the exact day is because it was my turn for Show-And-Tell. I had brought my GIANT Teddy Bear that I got for Valentine's Day from my Dad. It was almost taller than I was and everyone loved it.

My brother Austin picked my brother Jeremy, my sister Sam, and I from school. To get to our house, we had to cross the train tracks and there was a train after school. So when we got to the tracks, the train was already slowing down because it needed more gas or something. Austin had crossed and was screaming at us to cross because the the train was honking the horn loudly. Jeremy was scared so he had crossed and that left me and Sam. Austin went back and took my giant teddy bear and crossed. I really wanted my bear, so I crossed with Sam and we went home.

Ever since that, I've been convinced that we could've died.

Winter Jam

I went to Winter Jam at the beginning of 2016. It was the best experience of my life! You will never believe what happened. It was so exciting because it was my first winter jam concert ever and someone who I know payed for a VIP for my brother, my dad, my sister, my brother in law, and I. I met a handful of Christian artists and all of them were so awesome! I met Stars Go Dim, Mathew West, For King and Country, Tedashi, and KB.

For King and Country was my favorite because I went to a concert in the past with a friend. That was my first concert. One of the lead singers of For King and Country came up onto the balcony and shook people's hands. I started freaking out because he shook my hand!!! I told myself that I would never wash that hand again but my mom says there is a lot of sickness going around. It was one of the best experiences in my life.

Remington Baseball

  It was a long car ride to Manhattan Kansas. It was also a fun car ride. Once we go there you could see the big stadium of K-State football. But we weren't there for that we were there to watch some baseball. The team we went to support was the Remington Broncos. I was a long tournament. but the end was near. Remington beat all the other teams but one. They were is the ship.they started off really bad losing 4 to 0. but then one of the players said something and they stared playing good. Colten was the third base men. He was up to bat. hit it really good and got to third. In the final inng they scored a lot of point the score was 6 to 5. There was 2 outs and it stayed that way for a long time but then some hit a ground ball right to second base out the ump called. The Remington crowed was booing  the ump for a bad call but the thunder won. . Remington lost state and got second.

My Dogs 

I have two dogs they are both Chihuahuas. One of them is whats and slight brown spots and really fat, and the other on is brown and white and is not fat. There names are Chloe and Zoey, Chloe is the fat white dog while Zoey is the brown and white dog and not fat.

What do they like to do?

Since Zoey is really skinny and fast, she is the playful dog. Chloe likes to sit around and do nothing and bite my friends. Zoey if your lucky she'll play fetch with you.

What is weird about my dogs

Zoey has a weird habit where she licks Chloe's eye, and Chloe will growl at her. Sometimes Zoey starts growling at Chloe and then they start fighting. Zoey likes to chew on socks and drag them around the house. That is a little interesting stuff about my dogs.

P&M Pumpkin Patch

      On Sunday we went to P & M Pumpkin Patch. It was very fun. There was lots to do and lots of time to do it.
      We went down the barrel shoot which is a tube slide and you go down on a sled and it is very fast. They had a pig race and it was funny to watch because the pigs kept running into each other.  They had pumpkin shoots, jump pads, and a bunch of little play grounds all over. We went through the corn maze and it was surprisingly, pretty easy this year. My favorite part is the pedal cars because they have a 1, 2, and a 4 person car and, you get to drive them on a track and it's really fun.
      All and all it was really fun and we had a good enjoyable time and I recommend this place to anybody who is looking for some fun around Halloween.

XC League

XC League
So last Thursday was the last day of XC this year. ;(. But it was the league and I was scared and sad it was going to be over. So on the morning of Thursday I wore ice cream socks to give me give luck to get 1st place cause I wanted it. So then I went to school, WAIT! Let's skip this part because school is boring and let's get to fun part!

So at 2:00 pm I left school to go to the high school. I got my stuff went on the bus to Halstead I did my a bit of my science homework because I had so much of It and I have to get it done. So when we there I was scary. We had to run against Halstead,Haven,Nickerson,Smoky Valley,Reno Velley Lyon,Hillsbroso, and Larned. Yes that is a lot of School I had to run against or me Jenna,Sarah,and Dhriti. So we got the map of the mile we had to run it look very long. We walk because I was to lazy to jog it.When we finish it was almost time for the race I stretched and ran to get to get ready for race.  

So me,Sarah,Dhriti,and Jenna went to the starting spot. We talk a bit then pray god for a safe race. A minute later a person who the came to start the race he said stuff like"if someone fall with in 50 yard I'll shot again make you guy come back." that like the most important thing. So the he said"On your mark get set go."So the race started I ran to the front but there kid from Lyon that was very fast I tried to keep up but I could not so I went my pace to get second. My body felt like on fire. The wind blow in my face.But that was all I ran tried not to slow down. I forgot to tell you when I ran people look at me like crazy because I was wearing the ice cream sock. So yep you know it I got second place.

So when all of us finish the high school and the 8 grade race they call all of us to claim our medal they call they 7 grade boy to the medal I went up there showing all the school,coaches ,and theparent my ice cream sock they all laugh. So when it was over we pack and left. So at the cross country meet awesome and I'm sad it over but I still have next year and I will get first bye.

What I Think About School

School all around isn't that bad. It gives you time to talk to friends and play games. I really like language arts because I love to write and read. My least favorite topic is math, even though I'm not bad at math it is just a boring subject. Science isn't terrible, the weird things that you learn about you is confusing, but that is just life.

The Trailer

When I was four years old I was playing on a trailer, the reason I was playing on the trailer is because my family and I were taking down our chimney. But, when I was playing on the trailer I was playing an game called spy, and I had to get off the trailer with out getting hurt. After, I was on the other side of the trailer I jumped and that is when, my foot got caught by the chain on the trailer and face planned on the ground.


Then, once I got up from the ground I went over to my dad crying and I, looked up at him and he saw all of the blood and I ruined his favorite white shirt. After, that I really did not remember what happened next, but the next day that I woke up my face was very sore and my nose was still bleeding a bit.



The, next day I woke up and I had to go to school and I did not fill good so my, mom let me stay home and I watched SpongeBobSquarePants. Then, I got up and ate and got a drink of hot chocolate and then, I went back to bed and fell asleep.  

Where I want to Live

Some day I want to live in Colorado. That is where I would like to live because when I go to Colorado the thing I always admire is the mountains. I also love to hike when I go to Colorado!

My Weekend

I did a lot of things over the weekend. I went over to my cousins house, picked pumpkins, and went to Wichita.

When I went to my cousins house I had dinner there. We ate hamburgers, baked beans, and potato chips. I love my uncles cooking. After we ate dinner we watched Zootopia. I liked the movie. When the movie was finally over we ate triple fudge brownies. I asked if I could have two but my mom said no, so I ate another half of a hamburger. When it was around 9:30 we went home to go to bed.

When we went to go to pick pumpkins there were lots of them. We only picked some of them so others could grow bigger. If there was a little bit of green then we would leave them so they could turn orange. We picked about 20 pumpkins. We had to use our tractor to bring them all in before dark. Our tractor can carry about 8 pumpkins. The next day we had to wash them so we could sell the pumpkins. We are selling pumpkins for 4 dollars each. Those are some things about picking pumpkins.

Last Sunday we went to Wichita. While we were in Wichita we watched my brother play soccer. At the beginning of the game my brother's team scored first. It was a close half. In the second half the other team scored more goals and won.

Those are some of the things I did while at my cousins house, picking pumpkins, and going to Wichita. I liked my weekend.

My Own Story

Over the weekend, I was at East Lake. Every day i went to the swimming beach, and sat, paced, or waded in the water, telling my self a story I had made. The story is fantasy, hardly realistic.
My Story:
     Baren, a young Lithin girl, born in a small town in Lithin, walked up to the bar of The Tavern. Behind The Tavern bar was Lucile, a mid forties woman.
     Lucile sadly lost her three children to Grim. Grim was an ore that lithins used to make money. If it was not cured or  smelted right, or if it's plain ore, if you touch it you would die. Grim was magic though, and didn't kill of poison, but of unlucky death.
     Baren sat on her usual stool. and waited for Lucile to finish tending to a man.
"Hello, Baren. " Said Lucile with a happy smile.
"Lucile, I am not here to discuss like usual. I have an important matter to tend with you." Said Baren. Indeed, she did. Something tragic had happened to Baren's father.
" Well, child, spit it out. I will take you to the back, only for a moment,though. We are very busy today." Lucile said, opening a door for Baren.
"Lucile, my issue is about my father.You know how he is in the royal guard, right?"
Lucile nodded, slowly and nervously.
"His last mission before becoming a Nite Guard, the highest rank of guard, was to kill Lathil."
Lucile gasped at her words. Lathil was a dragon, very large compared to a normal dragon. He lived on Lithin Point, the tallest mountain in Lithin.
"He, he, he died!" Cried Baren. Her tears were hot, and ran down her high cheekbones,
She tried to stop to finish her discussion, but was interrupted by Lucile's warm embrace.
"What, wha, what I was trying to say was---
CLIFF HANGER!!!!!

My Weird Brother

Do any of you have a sibling who drives you insane, but you still like? If you do, you can relate to me. I have two siblings, Emma and Cade, who are in third grade. My sister can be normal if she wants to, but my brother on the other hand, is very hard to describe.

One evening, after supper, my family was lounging in the living room, when Cade tripped and landed on the small, wooden table we have. At first, he was silent, but a few seconds later, he started bawling. I went over to him to make sure he was okay. As soon as I finished asking him, he got extremely mad and started to pound on the would with his fists.

Then I asked Cade why he was so mad. I will never forget his answer. He screamed "I'M MAD THAT THE WOOD IS HARD!!!"

I started laughing so hard I was rolling around on the floor. Eventually , Emma and even Cade started laughing along with me. It was a pretty funny evening, and thankfully, Cade hasn't gotten hurt very much since.

My Favorite Anime

Today I will talk to you about my favorite  anime named Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon is about a girl named Usagi Tsukino who is a 14 year old girl that lives in Tokyo Japan. Usagi one day steps on a purple/ black cat with a crescent  moon bald spot on her head. Usagi is not very good at school so she gets in trouble a lot.

 After school Usagi likes going to the arcade to play the Sailor V game. After Usagi gets home from the arcade she gets scalded by her mother for getting a 30 on a English test. Her mother made her stand outside until Usagi started having a tantrum about wanting to go back inside and sleep. When Usagi finally got to go into her room she immediately went on her bed. After Usagi went to bed Usagi got visited by the cat that told her to wake up.

Usagi got scared of the talking cat and thought that she was already asleep dreaming. The cat told Usagi that her name was Luna and she was sent to earth to awaken the sailor guardians. Usagi was soon given a brooch and Luna told her to put her hand up and yell "moon prism power make up!"

Finally Usagi heard noises of her best friend screaming using her super hearing.  Unfortunately that is all  I can tell you about the beginning of the story and if you go to my school and want to borrow the book, I'll let you.

Holidays

   Holidays are times of the year that something important happen, or someone decided that someone, or something should be recognized. Take Grandparents Day for instances. Someone thought that grandparents need to be recognized. This idea became so popular that they decided that they should turn it into a holiday.
   Halloween has a different story behind it. Halloween was actually a day that people honored the dead. It eventually became the holiday that we know today. Halloween is creepy because of that. How do you think other holidays started?

Mystery of the bloody knife

It all started on a sunny morning when George woke up to go to church when he realized that his wife was gone. Then, when he went looking around the house he could not find her but he found a note.The, note said if you ever want your wife back you have to do everything that I say and the note had a bloody knife in it stuck to the table. So, George listen and he called the number that was on the note and when the man that took his wife picked up and told George what to do to get his wife back. The, man told him that he had to rob a bank and get all of the money and give it to him and if he was caught by the police that he would pay for him to get out of jail. But, when he did rob the bank he got caught by the police but he did indeed pay for him to get out of jail. Then, the second thing that he wanted George to do was to still the money from the store that was closest to him and he would again pay for him to get out of jail. So, he did what the man wanted George to and when George got caught by the cops the man got him out of jail. Then, after that the man said that George could come and get his wife and he was so happy to see his wife again. But, when he got there she was on the ground bleeding so he picked her up and took her to the hospital and safe to say that she was OK and that she can live her life again.THE  END!!!!!!!

My last minute blog post

This blog that your reading right now was done the day it was due. How crazy is that? The only reason I am doing it so late is because we're working on research for another topic, which doesn't seem stupid at all. sorry Mrs. Kohlman in advance for that statement.

Anyways this is the part were I talk about something I like. I like TURTLES! even though there slimy and gross and green and they bite... actually ya know what I don't like turtles anymore!

My dogs to me are cute and cuddly, they don't do much but their fun to 

watch. I also like them because they cuddle and sleep with me. Some reasons why their annoying are when i have friends come over they bark and bark and bark and bark some more and they do their business on the floor so you have to watch your step. That is about my dogs so over all their pretty good also one of them is really warm. 

Night

Most people are afraid of the dark. I'm not one of them. I welcome it. If you learn to use the dark for you it can be a huge advantage for you. If you don't then others can use it to sneak up on you and scare you. Trust me, jump-scares really get me. They just get me by surprise.
If you want to befriend the dark, then my advice is this, slowly adapt your eyes so you can see, but always carry some sort of light with you, just in case. You can do this by taking a light and slowly dim it, if you can't do this, then turn off the lights and wait a few minutes before walking around, so you don't fall. Then learn how to identify things in the dark, because almost all don't have color, and that is how we often identify objects. Because trust me, I didn't understand what I was looking at sometimes.
Now you know what to do if you want to be able to see in the dark. Once you learn to how to see in the dark, try to do a jump-scare. It can be fun to see their reactions. :)

I am to slow

I am to slow 

            Today I am not going to talk about food. Sorry;(. But I am going to tell you how I am too slow!  So during the four XC meets I got 4th, 2nd, 2nd, and 2nd. I just can't get first. I try and try and TRY to get first but I just can't get first. I am to slow. The way I start out is to go for a sprint then go for a good jog to almost the end then go for a fast sprint to the end. But it is not working I can't do it.
But I know I can get first but I need your help so tell me what I need to do to get faster. I know I can do it

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

These muffins are probably the best muffins I've ever had. They are the best right out of the oven when they are warm and the chocolate chips inside are all melty. This is the web link for the muffins.  http://www.makingthymeforhealth.com/healthy-flourless-pumpkin-muffins/  The best part about these muffins is all you have to do is throw all the ingredients in a blender except the chocolate chips and blend it up!! When I make the muffins I change the recipe up just a little bit. Instead of maple syrup I use Agave Syrup and instead of Almond butter I use 3 Tbs of liquid coconut oil. I also add just a few extra chocolate chips ;).These are delicious fall treats and great to share with others!!!

The Pumpkin Patch

This weekend, my family and I all went to the Pumpkin Patch. It was one that we had never been to before, so we were all very excited. But we didn't where it was.Eventually we found it. And once we got there we were even more excited than before. We usually wait until the last day to get pumpkins, but this year we decided that we were going to go early.

My mom said that the reason we went early was so that we could get some of the good pumpkins. Once we saw the pumpkins, I knew what she meant. The pumpkins were HUGE! But we decided that before we were going to pick which ones we wanted, we had to try everything else that there was to offer. There were slides, jumping pads, trikes, a corn maze, and farm animals.

My brothers wanted to jump on the jumping pads and I knew that if we didn't do it, one of my brothers would probably cry so that's where we went first. We were probably there for about 15 minutes or so. And the entire time my brothers were asking my mom to take pictures and videos of them jumping and running. After that, we decided that we had to try the slides. I didn't really want to so my brothers were the only ones to go down.

Then, we saw these "trikes" which I thought looked like a bike and a four wheeler mixed into one. My brothers talked me into riding them but I told them that I only would do it if it was a race. My mom said that she would get a drink for whoever won. Of course, I was the winner, but my mom ended up getting everyone a drink.

Once everyone was finished with their drinks, we went through the corn maze. It took my brothers and I 10 minutes to find the exit but my mom and grandma hadn't made it yet so I went in to help them. I couldn't find them so I thought they had already made it out after I went in to find them. Sure enough, when I made it out they were all there waiting for me.

Finally, it was the time for pumpkins! Both of my brothers found good size pumpkins almost straight away. But my mom and I were looking for a big one. After searching for what felt like hours, we finally found the perfect pumpkin. 

When we went to weigh them, both my brothers pumpkins weighed  about 15 pounds each. The one my mom and I found weighed about 30 pounds! I couldn't believe it! On the ride home I drifted to sleep after a successful day at the pumpkin patch.

Raspberry Cream Cupcakes

Today I going to tell you about Giada's delicious raspberry cream cupcakes. I made them about a month ago and thought I should share them with the world. For these cupcakes you need:

• 1 (18.25-ounce) box white cake mix (recommended: Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe)
• 1 1/3 cups water
• 3 large eggs whites
• 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
• 2 teaspoons almond extract
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 2 (6-ounce) containers fresh raspberries, cut in half or 1 (16-ounce) container fresh strawberries, coarsely chopped
• 1 cup heavy whipping cream
• 1/3 cup powdered sugar, plus additional for dusting

Before you do anything else, preheat your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit, and line 18 muffin cups with muffin papers.

In a large bowl, with an electric mixer, beat your cake mix, water, egg whites, melted butter,  almond extract and vanilla extract until well mixed. Then putting 1/3 cup of batter in each liner, bake the cakes till they are very pale gold on top, about 15 minutes.

While waiting for the cupcakes to cool completely, mash 1 1/2 containers of raspberries in a medium bowl. In a large bowl, beat cream and 1/3 cup of powdered sugar till stiff peaks form. Fold the mashed raspberries into the whipped cream.

Finally, remove the wrappers from the cupcakes and cut the tops off each one. Spoon the raspberry whipped cream atop the bottom piece and put the top back on. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with remaining berries.

These scrumptious cupcakes are a sophisticated desserts. The creaminess of the whipped cream, and the light fluffiness of the moist cake, is a combination everyone needs.

HOMECOMING

When Fridays come around, 
And I'm counting days,
you might know what I'm waiting on,

Later tonight, 
after a great Swather game, 
the lights will go out,
and sounds will ring,
and colors will shine,
until about nine,
then lights will be turned back on,
i'll be laying on the ground,
wishing it hadn't passed so soon.
i solemly walk home. 
sleep is in dire need,

When you write a research question

When you are looking up information for a research question, there are so things that you may want to know before you start. When you're doing research, you will want to collect information that is related to your topic, from at least 3 or 4 sources so that you can write your research question. You will want to paraphrase, or summarize, what your sources say, so you can avoid plagiarism, which is were you copy someone's work then claim it as your own. Also, don't use wikipedia, because anyone can post anything, about real or fake events. Some of the information is not true.

My Doggie

Today I will talk about my little adorable doggie named Churro. Churro was a Chiweenie breed which is a mix between a Chihuahua and a Dachshund.

Churro was a long dog with long ears and gorgeous white fur with brown spots around his body.

Churro was very, very, very, loud and very confident. But when a Chiweenie is confident it always goes away at the slightest noise. Churro was a fearless little dog who almost bit my nose off when I tried to take his sock away. DON"T GIVE CHIHUAHUAS SOCKS they will fight you for it and every time you walk by he will want to kill you.

Churro was a very nice Chiweenie but he was also very stupid. One time I was opening a package up in the middle of the night and he got startled and he screamed. He absolutely loved to be petted and he loved getting his belly rubbed.

But unfortunately, during the summer of this year,  I had to give him to my cousins because of certain reasons. :(

My Shark Attack...

Over the summer, I had another weird dream. I decided to share it to the world of internet.

So in my dream, I had a shark attack. I woke up (in the dream) and there was a shark bite on my stummy (stomach and tummy). There was water gushing into the 2nd story of the house and I looked on my phone to check my notifications.

 After a while, I went downstairs to see if anyone else was up and they were. My step-grandpa Richard was there )I don't know why but he was). There was water gushing into the house and a few fish were on the floor. I told my dad I got bit by a shark and Richard opened the door, pulled up a shark and called, "I think I found it!". The weird thing about it was that it was baby blue and bright white. I didn't look like a shark at all, but it was a dream and anything is possible.

After a few more gushes of water came in a GIANT wave of water blasted in the door, blowing it open. My dad went under and Richard screamed to me "GRAB HIM!!!" and I went for my sister's goggles, then went back to my dad.

That's when I woke up. I don't know if he survived but I do know that it was so real I actually thought I was in a shark attack all week.

Vacation In Branson

Last summer, on July 31, my family took a trip to Branson, Missouri. We went to White Water which is a really fun water park with a bunch of slides. We also went to the Moses show at the Sight and Sound theater. We played some golf and went on a giant ferris wheel afterwards. But my favorite thing that we did is go to Silver Dollar City.

We got a three day pass so we went to White Water for one day and Silver Dollar City for two days. I love the rides at Silver Dollar City. My favorites are Wildfire, Powder Keg, Outlaw Run, and American Plunge. My dad, my sister, and I all went to ride the rollercoasters while my mom and my brother went to ride the kiddie rides. We also stayed late the first night and watched the firework show. The fireworks were really loud, but really cool. They were all different shapes and colors.

I hope you have a chance to go to Branson someday and I hope I can go back soon.

My Weird Dream...

When I was younger I had the weirdest dream of my whole LIFE. If you are starting to read this, you should just move on. Go!...Why aren't you going already? Fine. Stay and read my weirdest and most embarrassing dream of my life.

It was so scary. It was a NIGHTMARE I tell you. I was at home, where everything was in place. Except I blacked out and ended up in the hospital. The doctor handed me a weird looking kid... I know what you are thinking, I know this is weird but you will never believe what is ON it! There were strawberries growing on it! It's weird I know, this IS a dream i promise. I started to freak out because it was so creepy. I started screaming and found myself awake on a summer morning. I just remembered that I read a book with a lady having a garden with strawberries and other fruits.

Now you know my weirdest dream in my whole life. (It was NOT my baby!!!!)

Harambe

1.  Harambe was 17 years old when he died.
2.  He lived from May 27, 1999 - May 28, 2016.
3.  Harambe was born at the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville, Texas and he died at the. Cincinnati Zoo
4.  Harambe moved to the Cincinnati Zoo in 2014.
5.  Harambe's species was a Western Lowland Gorilla.
6.  He weighed 440 pounds.

Cats

Cats are amazing creatures. They are cute, cuddly, and low maintenance. They make good pets because all you need to do for them is provide food, water, and scoop the litterbox every couple of days.

My cat is trained to be nice and friendly to people, come when he is called, and even help put the dog in the kennel. He never makes a mess of the house and prefers to spend his time napping in my lap while I read.

Dreaming of tomorrow

Dreams are like portals to or purest form of imagination. Sleep, is the purest form of satisfaction. Sleep is a gate way to our dreams, and dreams, portals to our imagination. 

When you sleep, whether you're taking a nap or sleeping after finishing that home work for math the day before, you always dream. Although, you may not remember that you at a meatball sub in your dream the night before, or some other weird dreams.

You dream in the fifth stage of sleep, called REM. REM is your most active stage of sleep. You look around underneath your eyelids, and maybe lift your arm, or speak in your sleep.... Oh yeah, and dream!

Dreaming is what keeps our imaginations alive! You grandparents dream to, that is  why they may tell you silly stories and funny ideas they may have. 

I hope this gave you a new outlook on dreams!!

Dessert

I am going to talk about one of the best foods ever, dessert. It has lots of delicious and tasty foods ever like ice cream, cake, and cookies. It is just awesome. I love DESSERTS! Desserts is like heaven to people all around the world. I know everyone loves dessert.  I bet you also loves dessert because you are awesome. So tell me what is your favorite dessert and actually tell me in the comments.

The Hunger Games Series

The Hunger Games is an amazing book series. My reasoning behind this is the fact that its a very well known series. There is also some very unexpected choices the characters make throughout the story.

The characters also make some very sad choices. These choices leave the reader wanting more. I know I wasn't done with the series after the last book it was very sad. And that's my experience with the Hunger Games Series comment if you had a different one.

Spider Boy

On a warm summer day there was a boy named Jake and he was shooting his guns at a blue box and he always hits the bullseye. After,he was done he went in to his house to get a drink and he was so thirsty that he drank 2 gallons of water.Next,he went up to his room and started to play on his xbox and he was playing his favorite game Call Of Duty 3 and he was laying on his bed when a Black Widow crawled on to his bed and bit him.After,he got bit he went to the bathroom and tried to get the poison out of him but it was to late.Later, his mom got home from work and she called Jake to dinner but he did not come after his mom waited for 5 minutes she went up to his room to find out that he was laying on the ground crying that he got bit from a spider.After, Jakes mom came and helped him he started to get more than one leg until he got eight legs and he grew fangs and than he got up and took his mom by the head and threw her across the room then he picked her up agin and then killed her and ate her body then walked out laughing horrifically.    

Hillsboro vs. Hesston

This week, my team and I had a football game against Hillsboro Middle School. At practice, we added in formations and plays that we thought would work against Hillsboro.

Just like every Wednesday, our team had a "walkthrough" in helmets, t-shirts, shorts, and cleats. In the walkthroughs we do stretches, offensive plays, and fix anything that isn't exactly right. We also work on defensive plays.

For our game, my teammates and I all had to ride on a bus to Hillsboro. On the way, everyone was quiet while they listened to their pre-game music. When we all got to the field, we got our equipment on, had a pre-game talk, and headed out to the field to warm up.

When the game started, everyone was excited. Almost every time our team had possession of the ball, we scored. The second quarter was exactly the same way. At halftime, the score was 33-0, us.

During halftime, everyone ran to the locker room and sat down so the coaches could talk. Halfway through halftime, our game got delayed.

Eventually, our game got cancelled. Everyone was happy. We ended up winning the game 33-0, us.

The Running Dream

The Running Dream is one of the books I have read this year. It is written by Wendelin Van Draanen. It is my favorite book that I've read for many reasons. The Running Dream is about a high school girl who loves to run. Unfortunately, on the way back from one of her track meets, the bus she is in is in an accident and she looses part of her leg. Her friends are trying to be there for her, but she is having trouble recovering. Finally, she gathers enough courage to go back to school. In the end, she gets a running leg and pushes her friend with cerebral palsy in a wheel chair in a race and they get first place with their friends cheering them on the whole way.

I recommend this book to people who realistic fiction books. I like how something always happens at the end of each chapter that makes you want to keep reading. I started reading The Running Dream because Sarah told me is was an amazing book and I agree with her completely. If you are looking for a book, The Running Dream is a book you should try.

Volleyball

Last Thursday night I played in our Middle School volleyball game. We played against Hillsboro and won 2 of 4 games. I played on the 8th grade C team and we lost in the 3rd set. The 7th grade C team Won. B team also won and A team lost. We all had a good time.

I really enjoy playing volleyball. It is very fun and you have to work as a team. I think it is a great sport to play if you like to interact and work as a team and work hard. I can't wait until next Thursday when we play again.

Ice Cream Cake

My mom made me ice cream cake for my birthday party. If you are like me and love ice cream cake, you know how expensive it can be. My favorite place to get ice cream cake is Dairy Queen, but it costs twenty five dollars at the least. So my mom had the idea to make a homemade ice cream cake. It was so good, I would recommend this cheap dessert to any ice cream fanatics.

This cake is so easy to make! All you have to do is buy two tubs of ice cream, make it you favorite flavors, unlike Dairy Queen who only has chocolate and vanilla. Make sure you have a spring form pan to create your cake so it doesn't melt in your platter. For the delicious, crunchy filling you need a pack of Oreos and two bottles of the chocolate shell. Finally, the fun part, making the cake. Put half of one of the ice creams in the bottom of the spring form pan, try to flatten the ice cream as quickly as you can so it doesn't tart to melt. Then, put all of your Oreos in a large bag and start crushing. Once your Oreos are crushed, top the first layer of ice cream with the Oreos and both of the hard shell chocolates. Lastly, put the other half carton of ice cream in, and freeze. Wait about twelve hours before you eat. Enjoy the delicious sensation of homemade ice cream cake!

One of My Dreams

When I was 5 years old, I had a really weird dream that I still remember. It went like this...

So, there were these creatures who wanted to rule the world. They had Donald Duck heads, giraffe necks, a dog body with ratty, matted fur, hippo legs, human hands for hands, and human feet for feet. They were all over the news. The creatures started in China, then to Europe, and eventually to me. 

Since my parents are divorced, I was at my dad's house. When my dad was driving us home (my brothers and sister), my dad started speeding because they were after my mom and us. When we got to Sedgwick at my mom's house, we ran inside and told my mom what was going on. She didn't believe us and so she went outside. That's when we realized how they were killing everyone. They were eating every one's heads off. The creatures stayed outside and after a minute or so, Chris, my mom's ex-boyfriend, went outside to check on her and his head got eaten off. Then my dad and brothers went outside and their heads were ate off.

My sister looked out back and and didn't see the dog-duck things, so she went out. They had started to go around and so she ran up a tree. The creatures had followed her up the tree but she went to the top. They hadn't caught up to her yet when she jumped down. She didn't realize that there were more coming and that they hadn't caught up to the others yet. She turned the corner to the front yard and the duck things had ate her head off.

 Now I was all alone and the creatures realized it. They burst into the front and back doors and came toward me. I ran to my room and locked the door and closed the window. They rattled my door and I screamed and soon they broke it down. I ran to my window and jumped out and ran.

That's when I woke up, so I don't know how it ended. All I know is that once I woke up I ran into my mom's room and she wasn't very happy because I woke her up.

Soccer

I like soccer for many reasons. I like the way the game is played and how quick it is. I also like kicking the ball and I really like to score. I get to make new friends when I play soccer. I have soccer practice every day. At practice we have to do a lot of running. I have a coach that is nice but yells. Those are some reasons why I like soccer.

Fashion

I love fashion. Fashion is displayed wherever you go. Online, ads, and especially in stores. I try to save money for the dresses and jeans, but it's very hard because they are so expensive. Whenever i go out to find the perfect outfit, it's hard to find your own style. My style is the dresses that are skinny at the waste and poof out, jeggings(skinny jeans), loose sweatshirts, and any kinds of converse. 

Sometimes when I go shopping, I go to Rue 21. They have MY style and the things that I like. The stuff they have are SO cute and so much cheaper than other places. I love the online store Modcloth. Their stuff isn't alway the cheapest, but they have so cute stuff. I wish they would open a store other than online because their stuff are my favorite. I bought some shoes from Modcloth that were $44, and fit amazingly! Usually when you buy shoes online, you would maybe want to send it back to the store because they don't feel right and that's why people go TO the store itself and buys it in person.

Baking

I absolutely love to bake. I love to bake different things for example, cheesecake, macaroons, cakes, cookies, and pies. I feel like baking is a way to express yourself with sugary frosting and candies.

When you bake you have to be VERY CAREFUL when you are around an oven or you will burn yourself! I know this because I have burnt myself terribly on my arm. Just a reminder wear very long oven mitts that don't expose your skin too much to avoid being burnt. 

Did you know that baking is a science? Well It is! The science behind baking is mixing different types of ingredients and hoping that you don't give yourself food poisoning from your own cooking.

My Puppy

  Hi! I am going to share a little story about my puppy! I have already shared about her on another blog post. Everyone loves puppies! If you want to hear more about my puppy then,  keep reading.

  Her name is Lucy! It's hard to pick a nickname for her. Do you have any ideas? Anyways, she is a mess, not in a bad way but in a funny way. She hops instead of runs, She barks down the stairs when I let her out of her kennel, overall its funny. When I through one of her toys she hops to it. I can't help myself not to laugh. She is a Chihuahua. Some people don't like that breed but all you need to do to like them is give them a chance. There awesome dogs. Most of all, they are so cute.

Ocean

The ocean is both beautiful and dangerous. It's beauty is within coral reefs, kelp forest, and the animals that live in the ocean. It's danger in from riptides, waves, and predators.

When I go play there, I play in the waves and go search for seashells. I also try to stay out of ditches in the sand, because those are riptide currents, as well as try to stay close to where we are parked on the beach. I enjoy trying to catch a wave when body-surfing. When I go to play in the ocean, I try to have fun while being safe.

She Wore Red

        She wore red and a black hood all week Monday though Friday. She only took it off when she got to hot. She would  walked in the halls without talking not even say move to get to her locker.

She was quite all day long at lunch, all class, art class. She didn't open her  mouth in choir. She sat alone at lunch because every one thought she was weird. When she tried to sit by somebody she got kicked out.

         The next Monday she wore the same thing. At lunch she tried to sit with my little gorp. My friends kicked her out I look at them with a really look. I got up from my seat and when to sit with her. She smiled. I asked her why she wore red and a black hood. She  didn't say anything. I asked her why she didn't talk answered with a croaky voice. ''Because.''
